Brett Miller

Director of Research

Brett Miller serves as Director of Research at Orion Strategies where he performs detailed research on individuals, organizations, policy issues, and government regulations.  Miller also oversees polling and focus groups for trade associations, energy companies, health care organizations, government agencies, law firms, and other entities that seek the firm’s services.  This combined research serves as the foundation for a multitude of strategic campaigns.

Prior to joining Orion Strategies, Miller spent nearly fifteen-years in the Annie Merner Pfeiffer Library at West Virginia Wesleyan College, most recently serving as the Director of Library Services.  He presently serves as the archivist for the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Miller received a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2011 with a specialization in archives, preservation, and records management and then interned at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of American History. He has served on the boards of directors for numerous historic and civic organizations, plays multiple instruments professionally, and is a published author.
