A veteran communications professional, Matt helps clients fulfill strategic initiatives through public relations and community engagement. Working on energy, economic development and other projects, Matt takes pride in researching and learning about the jurisdictions in which his clients operate. He strives to lead clients to engage in philanthropic work that will produce long-term positive impacts.

Applying a team approach to help clients reach their objectives, Matt works closely with clients on projects and initiatives that help drive their brand. Matt takes the lead in planning and executing large events such as ribbon cuttings, groundbreaking ceremonies, corporate events and site tours.

Before joining Orion, Matt worked as the sports information director at Alderson Broaddus University. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis in interpersonal communication and a master’s in communication studies theory and research from West Virginia University.
